Miss Geertson is one of our original Bobcats.  While at MBES, she has taught third grade.  She also taught second grade one year, and then looped up with her students to third grade the following year.  Miss Geertson is a very kind, soft-spoken teacher who cares deeply about every single one of her students. As a member of our school Leadership/Literacy Team, she helps us to make our vision and mission a reality.

"Positive" is Kirsten’s middle name. She is always smiling and cheerful. Kirsten is a great listener and frequently points out the positives in any negative situation. She interacts well with students, parents, and staff members. Because of the level of dedication and passion she brings to her job each and every day, she has earned the respect of the Bobcat community. Kirsten is a hard worker, and we value her opinion. She has an uncanny ability to develop a rapport with each of her students. Because students trust her and feel loved and appreciated by her, they are comfortable taking risks when they are working with her. Kirsten is supportive of and committed to helping ALL students, not just those with special needs.
Kirsten is very active and supportive of the MBES community. She has helped create signs for each classroom in our building; organized Bingo fundraisers for the PTO and for our fifth-graders; shopped for under-privileged children; and volunteers for most after-school events.
